Chase the Butterfly Family 5K Road Race and Kids Fun Run

By participating, you’re not just running a race—you’re supporting the Y’s mission to strengthen our community. This year, we are excited to collaborate with the Cure CMT4J Foundation with the Chase the Butterfly 5K! CureCMT4J is an Ipswich-based non profit dedicated to raising awareness and funding toward treatments for an extremely rare, deadly neurological disease. Similar to ALS, CMT4J causes progressive weakness that can lead to quadriplegia and respiratory failure.
Ipswich's own, Talia Duff, is fighting CMT4J.
Your involvement not only helps ensure that programs like swim safety, childcare, and youth development remain accessible to everyone who needs them but also strengthens our community bond. We can’t wait to see you at the starting line.
Kids Fun Run starts at 9:30am Run around the perimeter of the main building at NE Biolabs. The Kids Fun Run is not timed. Children will receive a race bib and award at the end of the run.
5K Road Race starts at 10:00am.
This course is dog and stroller friendly
No refunds will be offered.
Timing Provided by Bay State Race Services
Swag: Tee Shirt: First come, first served: while supplies last, size not guaranteed. Shirts must be picked up by the start of the race.
Pick up: Ipswich Family YMCA 110 County, Ipswich: Friday, May 2nd 12:00pm-6:00pm and on race day beginning at 8:30am at New England Biolabs
Parking: There is open air and garage parking at New England Biolabs!
Results/Awards: The results will be posted at race end and emailed to participants later in the day. Medals will be awarded to overall 1st place female and male runners (no double dipping).
Top 3 female and male runners in the following age groups: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29. 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
Top 3 nonbinary runners and top 3 wheelchair finishers. Special prizes will be awarded for the 1st female and male Ipswich Resident
Post Race: Hang around after the race...enjoy one complimentary beer or NA beverage from True North Ale Company...show your race bib, ID and appreciation to our favorite True North brewers: cash or credit cards accepted for gratuity and further purchases.
