All courses start and finish at the picturesque Enoggera Reservoir, The Gap, a gateway to Brisbane’s renowned trail network. COURSE CHANGE
Marathon, TRAQ-25 and Walkabout Creek Trail Race
We have received an update from the D’Aguilar South Management Unit (South East Queensland Region / QPWS and Partnerships, Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation) regarding trail access for this weekend’s event.
Due to recent severe weather events, significant damage has occurred on the following trails:
- Hell Hole, Blacksoil, and Holemans Breaks
- Augies and Creek Road
Several trees have fallen across these areas, and trail surfaces have been compromised. Work crews have not yet been able to fully clear or repair all sections. As a result, there is limited vehicle access, which poses challenges for emergency response and logistical support such as checkpoints.
Updated Course Information for the Marathon, TRAQ-25 and Walkabout Creek Trail Race:
We have received approval to reroute the event as an out-and-back course primarily along South Boundary Road
The Course will run from Enoggera Reservoir Dam Wall (start) >> The Reservoir Track >> E Break >> South Boundary Road, and return via the same route.

This 12.5km trail race is ideal for both trail and even road runners of all levels. With 450m of elevation, it offers just the right mix of challenge and adventure, giving everyone a chance to hit the trails. Whether you're chasing a personal goal or enjoying a social run with friends, this course delivers a rewarding experience.

Marathon Closed
The full-distance trail marathon covers 42.3km with a challenging 1796m of elevation. Starting beside the water at Enoggera Reservoir, the course heads west along the Reservoir Trail to 69 Break, then onto South Boundary Road and Centre Road, where you’ll begin the ascent to Mt Nebo. Here, runners face the narrow and grueling “Hell Hole Break.” Rejoining South Boundary Road, the course continues to Scrub Road, climbing up to Mt Nebo Break before taking on Blacksoil Break. This scenic stretch loops you back to South Boundary Road for the return leg. Finally, a push to E Break sets you up for a sprint finish in front of the iconic dam wall. Cut-off time: 7 hours (1pm). Additional checkpoint cut-off times will be provided in the pre-race briefing email.

More than just a half marathon, the TRAQ-25 takes you on a scenic and challenging journey from Enoggera Reservoir. The course follows the Reservoir Trail beside the water, leading to 69 Break and onto South Boundary Road. From there, you’ll ascend Centre Road toward Mt Nebo, where the narrow and demanding “Hell Hole Break” awaits. The return leg takes you back via South Boundary Road, finishing with a push through E Break and a final sprint to the finish line in front of the dam wall. With a generous 5-hour 30-minute cut-off, this race offers a rewarding challenge for all.
