Join us Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 for our annual 5k event and traverse Atlanta's historic Westside and bustling Downton.

Instructions

🏃‍♂️ In-Person Runner Packet Pickup Information
Thursday, March 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Big Peach in Midtown - 800 Peachtree St NE, Suite B & C, Atlanta, GA 30308. Plenty of free parking in the back! Race Registration will be available at Packet Pickup.

To pick up another participant’s packet, you must bring either a printed copy of the registration or an email of their registration confirmation on a mobile device.


Saturday, March 22 at 7:15 a.m. - On-site registration and packet pickup begins. Registration and packet pickup will close at 8:15 a.m.

Saturday, March 22 at 8:30 a.m. - Race start time!

👟 Virtual Runner Information 👟

All Virtual Runners will receive their race packet in the mail. Once you receive your packet, here’s what you need to know:

1. Please wear your race shirt and run your favorite 5k route between March 14th and 22nd. If you are local to Atlanta and looking for a new route, the Atlanta Track Club has some great recommendations!

2. Snap some pictures during your run and tag us on social media using #RefugeRun to be entered to win some of our fabulous Refuge Run prizes (prizes will be mailed to you after the race!).



Race Day Course & Parking

The race will start and finish at 1300 Joseph E. Boone Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30314. The 5k course is an Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. All awards will be based on gun time. You may run or walk with a stroller; however, please start at the back. Dogs are welcome, but they must be on a leash!

There will be heavy traffic and parking is extremely limited. Please consider CARPOOLING or taking Uber/Lyft.

Parking will be located at:
1. City of Refuge - 1300 Joseph E. Boone Blvd. Atlanta, GA 30314
2. American Legion - 1349 Joseph E. Boone Blvd Atlanta, GA 30314
3. KIPP Ways Academy-350 Temple Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30314

We will have shuttles driving racers from KIPP Ways to the City of Refuge Campus.

More Ways to Give

Our housing and youth programs are in need of diapers and wipes! We are asking runners to partner with us to help collect diapers and wipes for our programs.


We have two ways that you can get involved:

1. Bring diapers or wipes to the race. We will have a box for you to put your donation in when you arrive.
2. Order diapers and wipes off City of Refuge's Amazon Wishlist.

All donations must be brand new and unopened.

If you are able to donate, get your church involved, or find another effort to assist with this need, please email kmonson@cityofrefugeatl.org and we can coordinate a donation drop-off.

Registration Policies

  1. There are NO refunds for this race if you did not enroll in the Refund Protection Program. Click here for transfer instructions.
  2. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
  3. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
