Our story…
The Bay of Fundy Marathon takes place on the land of the Wabanaki People. As part of this event, we wanted to raise funds for Wabanaki Reach, an organization dedicated to supporting the self-determination of the Wabanaki people through a variety of meaningful practices.
We wanted to do something that, although small, would serve as some act of resistance in a time when indigenous sovereignty, environmental preservation, and human rights are under threat.
We have a group of over 10+, so we have come up with a rough fundraising goal of 15K, but please donate whatever you can — anything helps! Thanks for the support :)
