Help Zac raise money

Life can change in what feels like an instant; cancer will do that. This is how it changed mine forever…

In 2022 my brother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Not long afterward my father-in-law faced the same horrible diagnosis. Despite treatments, surgeries, appointments and tests, both of them fighting with everything they had, they were taken far too young only 14 months apart. 

In 2024, only weeks after losing her husband, my mother-in-law was also diagnosed with cancer. Fortunately, she has finished her treatment and is doing well. We are so thankful for family and friends who supported us and helped with driving to appointments. We realize that not everyone has this type of support or availability. Cancer is difficult enough, no one should need to worry about how they are getting to treatment or other appointments and that is why fundraising for organizations like Southeast Cancer Support Services and Cancer Care Manitoba is so important.

This December 21st, the longest night of the year, I will set out to run from sunset to sunrise to raise funds for Southeast Cancer Support Services. My goal is to run  more than 100km overnight, but more importantly to raise as much money as possible for this organization that provides critical services to so many people facing a cancer diagnosis.
