Program Update:

  • Last year, thanks to your generosity, we raised over $3500 for the program. Our fundraising goal this year is $4000.
  • We had 3 runners achieve the national standard at the 2024 Beaver Flat 50 10km race (Beaver Fever 10). We hope to add 4 more to the flock from this year's event.
  • Saskatchewan kids are fast! Each Junior Harrier will represent our province and community at the Classic Up and Down at Defi des Coleurs on October 19, 2025 in Quebec. This race is the National Trail Running Championship race.
  • Program eligibility requirements below.

birds of a feather...

Rooted in Saskatchewan’s trails and grounded in community, we’re more than just athletes. We’re a collective of storytellers, performers, and visionaries.

our mission

At its core, Prairie Harriers is about more than just running—it's about showcasing the incredible athletes of Saskatchewan and strengthening our trail-running community. From Junior to Senior to Master categories, each Harrier brings their own unique journey to the team.

We’re inspiring the next generation by introducing more kids to the sport through our Junior Harriers, a development program which offers young athletes the exciting opportunity to represent their province and the Harrier community on a national stage.

For our Senior and Master runners, it’s all about celebrating community. Each year, we showcase local athletes with unique stories, equip them with high-quality team wear, and empower them to share their journeys. These stories inspire, resonate, and connect us all.

Here’s where you come in: when you purchase Harriers teamwear, you’re directly supporting the Junior Program. The proceeds from every purchase go directly back into the program, helping young athletes chase their dreams, ensuring a sustainable cycle of growth and inspiration. Our debut item, the HLS Harrier Merino Long Sleeve is a collaboration with long-time BFF Ciele Athletics. Available during BFF registration, $40 from the purchase of each shirt will help our juniors soar amongst the best young trail runners in the country.
