Calmer Choice

Calmer Choice is a nonprofit that originated in 2010 amidst the fallout of the Cape Cod opioid epidemic. After watching her daughter and peers struggle to cope in the aftermath of classmate suicides, overdoses, and related emergencies, one mother launched a movement to bring support to these young people who were overwhelmed with feelings of a loss of self-control. Best known for our evidence-based mindfulness classroom program, we have touched tens of thousands of individuals over the past 15 years, from students and teachers to caregivers and families. Our mission to cultivate awareness, promote mindful living, and enhance resilience. We envision a world where: people lead lives of kindness and compassion toward themselves and others, young people learn skills to cope with the pressures of their world, and schools integrate mindfulness into their cultures. Our suite of services includes mindfulness education, training, and mentorship through onsite school-based programming and community-based mindfulness programming for individuals, groups, and organizations.
