We enrich the lives of people with disabilities through athletic, social and recreational activities.

Our story

In the spring of 2004, a few Sandwich Little Club volunteers organized a small group of physically and developmentally disabled children to play baseball for a six-week season. Deemed a huge success, parents expressed the need for a program that offered year-round recreational and social opportunities for their children. After months of planning, Kelvin Ing & Amy Lipkind incorporated the Cape Cod Challenger Club in August 2005 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. What began over 20 years ago with a handful of baseball players has now grown into a year-round athletic, recreational, and social activities program for children and adults with disabilities. With over 1500 participants and 100+ volunteers, the Cape Cod Challenger Club is thriving.  Our FREE activities include baseball, cooking, reptile shows, magic shows, soccer, playground parties, basketball, dances, roller skating, drumming, cooking, yoga, arts & crafts, cook outs, Hyannis harbor cruises, Halloween party, garden tours, and many field trips throughout the year.

The Cape Cod Challenger Club does not receive any state or federal funds and operates only through generous donations, grants, and our entrepreneurial businesses, Cape Cod Challenger Green Fertilizer and Challenger Vending.

Our team is running to help more people have the opportunity to be a part of the Challenger Club. LEARN MORE
