I am SO HONORED to continue to fundraise for this organization in 2025!
This will be the third year that I am running to pay tribute to an American hero and raise funds in his memory.
US Air Force Major David Brodeur lost his life in Afghanistan in April of 2011 when an Afghan pilot opened fire inside a NATO military base, killing 8 US service members & 1 American contractor.
The mission of the Major David Brodeur Memorial Foundation is to honor the life of Major David Brodeur by working collaboratively with the students of the Auburn public schools to provide scholarships and grants in the areas of academics, leadership, community, and extra-curricular activities.
Every dollar raised goes directly to the youth of Auburn. Students are able to apply for scholarships for academia, or grants that would cover costs for workshops, camps, or community service projects. These scholarships are not limited to those pursuing college educations, but also to support those pursuing trades.
As a member of this community, this is near and dear to my heart. This road race has become the foundation's largest fundraising event and is so important personally! David was truly a class act and it is so vital to keep his memory alive through this foundation.
