I’m running as part of Team Ellie and fundraising for the incredible work Ellie Fund does to support patients with breast cancer throughout Massachusetts.
Focusing on the financial and emotional challenges of treatment, Ellie Fund provides services like grocery and gas gift cards, meal delivery, and childcare for any breast cancer patient in Massachusetts. I’ve worked with Ellie Fund for five years and see every day how their services inspire hope and decrease stress.
My run is in honor of my cousin Cheryl Hall, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in her mid 20s. Cheryl passed away in 2018 at 45 years old after battling several types of cancer off and on for 18 years. Despite life’s challenges, she was never without a smile.
