Help Michelle raise money

For participating in The 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race

My Story…

At 3:00 in the morning of my son's 7th birthday, March 10, 2018, I experienced a ruptured brain aneurysm, resulting in a type of stroke called a subarachnoid hemorrhage.  I was rushed into the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and soon underwent emergency brain surgery.

But I am one of the lucky ones; I made it.

I got to see my son on his next birthdays, and my 2 daughters on theirs.

However, many are not as lucky as I was.

I am running this year's Falmouth Road Race for the Brain Aneurysm Foundation in memory of all those lost to or affected by brain aneurysms, and in honor of all those who are recuperating from or living with them now. Ruptured brain aneurysms are fatal in about 50% of cases. Of those who survive, about 66% suffer some permanent neurological deficit.  Moreover, approximately 15% of people with a ruptured aneurysm die before reaching the hospital.

Your donation to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation goes directly to critical research efforts focused on reducing the incidence of brain aneurysm ruptures, to create new diagnostics to better prevent ruptures and interventions to transform treatment. Funds are also used to support our education initiatives as we work to advance awareness of the signs of brain aneurysms amongst those at risk, as well as providers and emergency responders.

Please consider donating to The Brain Aneurysm Foundation and supporting my run for this important cause!

                                                        Thank you!

Description

I’m Running to Save Lives! 🏃‍♀️❤️

This year, I’m excited to be running in the Falmouth Road Race to support the Brain Aneurysm Foundation (BAF)! This cause is deeply important to me, and I’m dedicated to raising awareness, funding critical research, and helping those affected by brain aneurysms.

💙 Why This Matters:
🔹 1 in 50 people have an unruptured brain aneurysm
🔹 Every 18 minutes, an aneurysm ruptures—often with devastating effects
🔹 Awareness, research, and early detection can save lives

This year’s theme is “Be the Key to Saving Lives”, because together, we can unlock hope and change outcomes for survivors and families.

💙 How You Can Help:
🔑 Donate to my fundraiser—every dollar makes a difference
🔑 Share my page to spread awareness
🔑 Cheer me on as I run for this life-saving cause

I’m grateful for your support—thank you for being part of this journey!
