Why I'm running for Mothers' Milk Bank Northeast

I am thrilled to run the 2025 Falmouth Road Race in support of the Mother's Milk Bank Northeast (MMBNE). In my practice as a neonatologist at Brigham & Women's Hospital, my tiny patients rely on pasteurized donor milk from MMBNE. As a human milk researcher, I know that when mother's milk is not available or is in short supply, donor milk is the next best choice - milk is essential medicine. 

I have been a a member of the MMBNE Advisory Board for over a decade, and have never met a group of professionals more dedicated to helping mothers and babies while continuously growing and improving the organization every day. I am grateful for this opportunity to run the Falmouth Road Race and proud to fundraise for MMBNE.

Funds raised for Mothers' Milk Bank Northeast help to provide 1.5 million feedings annually for fragile infants. 

“TyQuell weighed just 1 lb., 11 oz when he was born – a number so tiny it was terrifying. He spent eight months and five days fighting for his life in that NICU. During those first few weeks (when I avoided finishing the nursery because I didn’t know if he’d be coming home) he was fortunate enough to receive donor milk . . .
