My Story…

In 2016, my family’s world changed when my brother Ben suffered a brain injury due to an overdose. For seven years, he lived at home under the loving care of my parents. During that time, the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA) became a lifeline for us—offering guidance, education, and resources that helped us navigate the unknown.

This year’s race carries a significantly deeper meaning. Ben passed away unexpectedly this past November, and the loss has been devastating for our family.

For the second year in a row, I remain committed to supporting BIA-MA because of the vital role they played in our journey. I’m running in Ben’s memory, with the hope that the funds we raise will help another family facing the challenges of brain injury.

Thank you for supporting this cause that means so much to me.

Description

Thank you for coming to my page to make a donation toward my efforts to support the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts (BIA-MA)!

BIA-MA strives to create a better future for all those affected by brain injury. The purpose of the organization is to educate the public on the risk and impact of brain injury, to promote programs that educate and prevent those injuries, to advocate for improved legislation, and to offer support and resources to individuals with brain injuries, their caregivers, and their families.

Together, we are the VOICE OF BRAIN INJURY!
