As many of you know, foster care and adoption is a personal cause for our family. Hazel joined our family from foster care in August 2023 at 2 months old. It is impossible to put into words how much our little girl has brought to our family. She has taught us more about strength, resilience, empathy, and love than we could have ever imagined.
Every child needs and deserves the stability of a loving and permanent home. Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) mission is to find permanency through adoption for children and teens in foster care who wait the longest for adoption.
Our family has experienced first-hand the positive impact MARE has had on so many young people's lives. Kevin and I began our own adoption from foster care with a single phone call to MARE. Since that first conversation, the organization's support and resources have been a constant guide for us. It is my honor to run the Falmouth Road Race on behalf of this life-changing organization, committed to helping youth in foster care find permanent families.

Thank you for supporting my run to make life-changing connections for youth in foster care.
On August 17th, I'm running the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race to support the work of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Inc. MARE's mission is to build connections for youth in foster care with permanent and adoptive families.
Committed to providing children and teens in foster care with the support and love they need to thrive, MARE strives to connect each youth they serve with the permanent family they deserve. MARE offers guidance and support to families so they can provide their children with long-term stability, healing, and a sense of belonging.
To support MARE's mission, my goal is to raise a minimum of $1,150 - one dollar for every youth in Massachusetts foster care who has a goal of adoption, but no identified resource or family member to provide a permanent home.
