My Story…
Lacing up my sneakers after more than a decade — I’m running Falmouth this summer on behalf of Boston Scores! 🏃♂️❤️
Boston Scores is a non-profit dedicated to empowering K-12 students in Boston Public Schools. Through its community-driven programs, Boston Scores gives kids the chance to join soccer teams while engaging in enrichment activities that build skills in literacy, entrepreneurship, and career readiness.
Studies show that youth sports have a lasting positive impact, from better mental and physical health to boosted confidence and self-esteem. Boston Scores’ unique approach supports not just active bodies, but active minds and active communities, working to close opportunity gaps for Boston students and give them the tools they need to succeed.
I began playing soccer at 6 years old when I joined the Smurfette's (wearing green uniforms - questions for another day). I played for another 20+ years and while I was never the star player, I always felt like I belonged. Those years and friendships taught me invaluable life lessons — teamwork, collaboration, perseverance, and commitment — lessons (and relationships) that still shape me today.
Now, I’m running to help ensure that kids across Boston get the same opportunities to grow, learn, and thrive. Please join me in supporting Boston Scores to give even more students the chance to reach their full potential.
