My Story…
I am excited to share that on August 17th, I’ll be running in the 53rd Annual ASICS Falmouth Road Race on behalf of The Campus School at Boston College.
Founded in 1970, The Campus School serves students ages 3 to 22 with extensive support needs, including complex medical conditions. Their work creates equal educational opportunities through a transdisciplinary approach tailored to each student’s unique needs.
I first learned about The Campus School while completing a project on disability inequality for my theology class. This experience opened my eyes to our public education system's inability to support students with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy and Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Campus School is doing life-changing work to bridge these gaps through an innovative, research-oriented educational approach. While the school is publicly funded, this money does not come close to subsidizing tuition and the necessary technology, materials, and programming that students deserve.
The Campus School’s work inspires me and that’s why I’m aiming to raise $1,200 to support their mission. Every dollar donated to the link below will go towards giving students an equal opportunity to thrive. Thank you for your consideration and generosity!
