My Story…

It has been a while since I have laced up my running shoes for a road race but what better reason than to support a wonderful cause! On August 17, 2025, I will be running the Falmouth Road Race with the Joseph Middlemiss Big Heart Foundation team! The Big Heart Foundation was founded by kids’ wonderful principal Scott and his wife Kate in honor of their 6 year old son Joseph, who passed away in 2013 from cardiomyopathy. Their foundation raises funds for cardiomyopathy research and to help support families of children with complex cardiac conditions. As a NICU nurse, supporting these families is a cause near and dear to me. I’m looking forward to a great race day! Any contribution to the Big Heart Foundation is much appreciated!
