My Story…

I am very excited (and a little nervous!) to share that I am running the Falmouth Road Race this August to support Tommy’s Place! Tommy’s Place is an amazing organization founded by Tim O’Connell which provides a magical vacation home for children facing pediatric cancer. 

Tim and his wonderful crew have dedicated their time and ingenuity to planning and executing his vision of providing these children and their families with a week of joy, relaxation, and peace in Falmouth and Centerville. Hundreds of families have spent a week at Tommy’s Place, including my own in August of 2023. I’m excited to train and raise money to allow hundreds more families to create beautiful memories together for many years to come. I hope you will consider donating to support this wonderful organization!

Tommy's Place Provides Over 100 Free Vacations Per Year on Cape Cod!

Tommy's Place owns and operates two 10+ bedroom year-round magical vacation homes for kids fighting cancer.  The homes are located in Falmouth and Centerville on Cape Cod. One family at a time, along with their extended family and friends, visits for a one week, free of charge, dream vacation to relax, make memories and most importantly have FUN!

Tommy's Place homes are equipped with inground swimming pools, game rooms, movie theatres, home taverns, arts + crafts rooms, music rooms, chef's kitchens, and much, much more.  A magical experience for the entire family! 
 
Since opening in July of 2021, nearly 300 families have vacationed at one of the Tommy's Place homes. In 2024, Tommy's Place began offering 104 magical vacations per year at its two vacation homes. Tommy's Place receives guest referrals from 11 New England children's hospitals and all families are placed through a lottery system. Guests are aged 3-17, actively being treated for pediatric cancer, and living permanently and full-time in New England.
