"Everything you learned late, teach your children early."

Over the last few years, AJ has watched me run for something bigger than myself. He’s seen the fundraising emails, the training runs, the finish lines, and most importantly, the impact Why Me & Sherry’s House has on children and families facing childhood cancer. He added it to his bucket list and said "someday."  

This year, that someday is here. AJ turned 10 and he’s ready to run his very first Falmouth Road Race for Team Why Me & Sherry's House. 

We’re taking on this 7-mile challenge together: my fourth time and his first. But this isn’t just about the miles. It’s about the power of purpose, compassion, and community. It’s about learning what it means to show up for others even when the road is long.

Our goal is to raise $3,000 for Why Me & Sherry’s House, a place that provides hope, comfort, and support to families during some of their darkest days. Every dollar makes a difference, and every donation, no matter the amount, helps us get closer to that finish line, both on the course and in our mission.
