My Story…
Hi Friends,
I'm raising funds for The National MS Society by running the Falmouth Road race this Aug.
80 years ago,  Sylvia Lawry placed an 11-word ad asking 'Multiple Sclerosis — will anyone recovered from it please communicate with patient'.  She was looking for help for her brother who had just been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.   A year later Sylvia dropped out of college, gathered a group of the brightest scientists in the US and founded what would become The National MS Society.
Since then the National MS Society has had a part in every major advancement in the treatment for MS.  Today there are dozens of treatments for MS and more are currently in development.
I feel like I can relate to how Sylvia was feeling when she wrote that ad in the New York Times.  Like Sylvia, My younger Brother has been diagnosed as having MS.
So taking my inspiration from our founder, I'm putting my money where my mouth is and I'm coming out of running retirement to fundraise for The National MS Society.   As a washed up former athlete I can promise you this will not be my fastest race.  But with your help it can be my most meaningful one.
Currently there is no cure for Multiple Sclerosis. The money raised for this event will bring us closer to finding one. We've made so much progress towards finding a cure with MS in recent years. I hope you will consider making donation to my fundraising for the Falmouth Road Race, so we can finally bring a cure for MS across the finish line.

Our goal—a world free of MS.
I’ve signed up to bring together a community of passionate people to connect and raise funds to change the world for everyone affected by multiple sclerosis.
Please support me today.
I've set an ambitious goal because with your support, I know I can get there.
MS is an unpredictable and often disabling disease. While we’ve come a long way in understanding and treating MS, there’s still so much more to do. That's why I'm participating and raising funds, and I hope I can count on you to help fuel progress. The money you donate will drive groundbreaking research and services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives.
