Hey everyone!
I will be running the Falmouth Road Race to support Camp Jabberwocky, a summer sleep away camp on Martha’s Vineyard for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities, both young and old.
I grew up going to my Great Grandparents house in Oak Bluffs, and shared many memories there with my cousin Duncan, who has Down Syndrome. I have always been inspired by him- as I have never felt like he let his disability dictate his life. He enjoys biking, swimming, heading to the beach, and bringing the good vibes- and I am certain he helped shape my career path as an adaptive physical education teacher, showing me that anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it.
I am lucky enough to be able to move my body freely, as well as experience a Martha’s Vineyard summer every year. Two things that not everyone has the chance to do. I hope that by putting one foot in front of the other with the support of my community, that someone else will be able to experience the joy and beauty of the island, and take full advantage of all of the activities Camp Jabberwocky has to offer.

For over 70 years we have relied on the compassion of our community and donors. At its core, Camp Jabberwocky lives on thanks to the generosity and kindness of those around us!
We rely on the generosity of many to make Camp Jabberwocky possible each summer. While all our counselors are volunteers, we must fundraise each year to cover expenses such as insurance, food costs, medical staff and supplies, transportation, and activities.
