Im SO excited to announce I am running Falmouth AGAIN with the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, and I’ve got a pretty amazing reason to do it: Our Izzy girl!
Izzy is my niece by heart, and I’ve been lucky enough to be friends with her parents for over 15 years. She is 4 turning 5 years old this summer and is full of spark, and sees the world in her own beautiful way. She’s also on the autism spectrum—and every day, she faces challenges with courage, sass, perfect smile, and our favorite Izzy talent, her balance :)
I’m running to support Izzy and raise money for the resources she (and other kids like her) need to thrive—things like speech and occupational therapy, sensory tools, and inclusive programs. And yeah, I'm also running so I can guilt you into donating.
So here we go: I’m logging the miles, sweating through it, and most importantly, doing it for Izzy. Help me make every step count!

Former NFL Quarterback, Doug Flutie, and his wife Laurie started the Doug Flutie, Jr. Flutie Foundation for Autism in 1998 after their son, Dougie, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their personal experience of raising a son on the autism spectrum inspired them to help others on an equally long and challenging journey. Over its 26-year history, the Flutie Foundation has distributed over $14 million to schools and organizations that provide clinical therapies, respite services, recreational programs, social skills training, job supports and more for people affected by autism.
The Flutie Foundation also provides education technology tools, adaptive camp scholarships, safety equipment, and direct family support through its special programs. The Flutie Foundation’s newest initiative, Flutie Spectrum Enterprises, will help create businesses to employ adults with autism.
