My Story…
Every Mile Matters: Fight like a Kid!
This August, I’ll be running the Falmouth Road Race for the third year for Tommy's Place in honor of Team Ava, my brave 7-year-old niece who spent the last two years fighting acute lymphoblastic leukemia and is now in remission. Ava's strength and spirit inspire me every single day and my life truly would not be where it is now without her. Tommy’s Place gave us joyful memories that we still talk about today! In the midst of our darkest days, it brought light, filling our hearts with laughter, hope, and love. That’s why I’m asking you not only to support my race, but to support Tommy’s Place, a truly magical home that every child and family fighting cancer deserves.
Friends, Ava's journey has taught us a lot about life and our values, and one thing for sure it opened my eyes to is COMMUNITY. This fight can't be fought alone and along the way we’ve met some incredible kids and families whose strength, fight, and smiles have forever changed my life, including the seven warriors I’m honored to run for below.
I’m dedicating each mile of the 7-mile course to a child who has battled or is still battling cancer and has stayed at Tommy’s Place, a magical haven for families navigating the unimaginable.
Each mile will carry the name and spirit of my heroes:

Mile 3 – Autumn
Mile 4 – Matteo
Mile 5 – Liv
Mile 6 – Jax
Mile 7 – Ava
This race is bigger than me. I’m running to honor their stories. To celebrate their strength. And to raise funds for Tommy’s Place, a place that gives families precious moments of joy and peace during the hardest times of their lives. Over the past two years, these incredible kids have changed my life and my families. Watching their families fight, strength, and smiles has shown me just how amazing and resilient children truly are. Keeping them in my mind will carry me through year 3 of the Falmouth Road Race.
