Team Gilmore is thrilled to run the Falmouth Road Race in support of critical LAM Research at Brigham and Women's Hospital and to help find a Cure for Kathy!
Cure for Kathy was founded by Steven Gilmore to honor and support his wife, Kathy Gilmore, who continues her courageous battle with LAM (lymphangioleiomyomatosis). LAM is an extremely rare lung disease primarily affecting women, only three to seven women per million receive this diagnosis. Due to the rarity of LAM, testing and developing effective treatments is exceptionally challenging. Every dollar raised helps bring critical awareness and funding to overcome these research obstacles, and we’re honored to be part of the fight.
This year’s Cure for Kathy team includes runners Steven Gilmore, Sarah Friedman, Nikki McSweeney, Ellen Harvey, and Taylor Shea — all lacing up to support Kathy and the critical work being done at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
We're committed to crossing the finish line and raising funds to help drive LAM research forward and bring hope to those affected.
