My Story…
I am so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race as a part of the Hospitality Homes Team! As a nursing student at Boston College, I am able to see first hand the stress that hospital stays can put on families. I am raising money for Hospitality Homes because they are able to relieve families of the stress of having to find and pay for somewhere to stay in Boston while a loved one is receiving medical care. I'm so proud to be a member of TEAM HOSPITALITY HOMES in this year's Falmouth Road Race!
Your support means the world to me and will help continue to provide housing for patients and families traveling to Boston for critical medical treatment.
With the prohibitively expensive costs of local hotels- averaging $260 per night- and the lack of sufficient hospital- sponsored housing, many patients struggle with what to do, balancing these and other out-of-pocket expenses with the already high cost of responding to a complex or chronic illness.
