Help Me Fundraise on Behalf of REACH Beyond Domestic Violence!
I’m running the Falmouth Road Race this year to support REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, an organization whose mission has stuck with me for over a decade.
I was first introduced to REACH about 10 years ago when they came to speak with the staff at the hair salon I worked at. Their message was eye-opening—domestic violence doesn’t always look like what you expect, and it doesn’t discriminate. It can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or income. Many people suffer in silence, unsure where to turn or who to trust.
That day changed how I see the world. I’ve supported REACH ever since, because I believe in the work they do: providing safety, resources, education, and hope for those impacted by abuse.
By running for REACH, I hope to raise both awareness and critical funds so they can continue helping survivors find safety, healing, and strength.
Thank you so much for supporting me—and supporting those who need it most.
Your support is helping me reach my personal fundraising goal and helping our team move closer to reaching our collective goal. Thank you for being part of this journey with me!
Description
Did you know that on average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States?
I am proud to be running the Falmouth Road Race and raising funds in support of REACH Beyond Domestic Violence. REACH works with survivors of domestic violence to foster safety and support while engaging communities to promote healthy relationships.
At what point does a connection become a breakthrough? At what point does a change in perspective become a life changed?
It all happens at the point when you discover hope. The staff at REACH Beyond Domestic Violence work every day to embody and inspire hope. REACH is a place where dedication defines the work and community lives at the heart of everything they do. A place where education and advocacy are foundational to building safe, supportive, inclusive relationships. A place for healing and growth.
Through their emergency shelter program, community-based education and advocacy programs, child and adolescent therapy, and other services, they provide immediate, trauma-informed services for survivors of domestic violence, advocating for them as they reclaim their lives and independence. They prevent future abuse through community education on healthy relationships as we strive to change social norms and systems of oppression.
Safety, optimism, support, hope — it’s all within REACH.
Please help me raise my goal of $1,500 to provide critical support for survivors of domestic abuse.
