Help Nicholas raise money

My name is Nick Hurney and I'm running the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race to raise money for Dreamfar High School Marathon. 

Growing up in Newton, MA, I would sit on Commonwealth Ave by City Hall in Newton every Patriot's Day to watch the Boston Marathon. I always knew that I wanted to run a marathon (despite the fact that I quit playing soccer because it involved too much running). 

During my junior year of high school at Newton South, I saw a flier for Dreamfar and knew this was my opportunity. By the time I had graduated high school, I had trained for and completed two marathons (Providence, RI - 2012 and 2013) and three half marathons. 

Since then, I have completed many half marathons, 10ks, 5ks, as well as some other distances. Dreamfar is what inspired me to start running. 

Dreamfar's training program gave me the knowledge to run distances safely while Dreamfar's mentors gave me the support and encouragement to keep showing up week after week, despite how hard it seemed. 

Dreamfar gave me the tools I needed in order to succeed - both in running and in life after high school - by helping me realize that anything is possible, even running a Marathon! 

I look forward to completing the Falmouth Road Race on August 17 so that many more high school students in the Greater Boston Area can have the same opportunity that I had in high school.
