My Story…
In honor of Mother’s Day, I am sharing my Falmouth Road Race in support of Empower, a nonprofit that supports children and young adults who experience the loss of a parent. Empower holds a special place in my heart because I lost my Mom when I was 18 years old.
I would be so grateful if you could join me this Mother’s Day by giving back to the community and making a positive impact on children who have lost a parent! 💜
Description
Join me in supporting Empower by helping me raise money as I take on the 2025 Falmouth Road Race!
Empower is an international nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind children they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on-one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach, “loss is survivable.”
Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.
