Running for my Memére - fighting Alzheimer’s one step at a time.
This year, I’m lacing up my shoes and running in honor of someone incredibly dear to me - my Meme. She’s been the heart of our gigantic family for as long as I can remember: warm, strong, fiercely loving. But in recent years dementia and Alzheimer’s disease has slowly taken pieces away from her.
Watching her struggle with memory loss, confusion, and the quiet fading of the vibrant woman she once was has been heartbreaking. Yet in her moments of clarity, her spirit shines through - and it’s for her, and for the millions of others battling this cruel disease, that I run.
Every dollar raised through this page goes directly toward research, care, and support services through The Alzheimer’s Association. Together, we can move closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.
