My Story…
It is with great pride that I am able to run the 2025 Falmouth Road Race for Mass General Breast Cancer Research. As many close to me know, I unfortunately have a closer relationship with breast cancer than anyone would like to have. In April 2021, life for my mother came to a screeching halt with her Breast Cancer diagnosis. The ensuing four years have been filled with treatment, pain and questions about “tomorrow”. After a while, you get really sick of setback after setback, but not my Mom. She fought through every chemo and radiation treatment always disguising the pain she was in with her always infectious smile. Watching my mother experience this fight first hand was challenging for me as ALL you could ever want as a son in these situations is to alleviate the burden; even a little bit. It taught me a lot, but the most important lesson that I learned was to bring the same level of love and integrity to each day in spite of the conditions the world inflicts upon you; The only way is through after all. My mother remains in treatment even now, and likely will for the rest of her life. She is my hero, and it is my honor to run in support of a cause that seeks to destroy the disease that completely altered her life.
Anything you are able to contribute is much appreciated, please help us to end Breast Cancer! God bless.
