Help Wyatt raise money

I am proud to run the 2025 Falmouth Road Race for Mass General Breast Cancer Research. No one is immune to cancer’s reach—it doesn’t discriminate, and it affects us all through the people we care about most. I am running the Falmouth Road Race to support the search for a cure for breast cancer, a cause that is especially important to me because my mom is a two-time survivor. Unfortunately when I was six years old, my mom first developed breast cancer. While I did not fully grasp the concept of what cancer exactly was at such a young age, I was able to see how much it affected her. Throughout her treatments, I watched her maintain a positive attitude, focusing on what she could control and taking each day as it came, whether good or bad. When the cancer came back while I was in high school, it was sobering and scary, but she maintained the same positive attitude she had before, despite the setback. Being older and able to understand, I was truly grateful to all the family, friends, and teammates who supported her during such a difficult time, more than words can express. Watching my mom battle and beat breast cancer twice taught me a lesson best captured by a quote from our favorite basketball coach, Jay Wright: "The fact is, none of us controls what happens to us in life—but we do control our responses to those circumstances." She inspired me because she never complained about her situation; instead, she focused on making the best of it and continuing to enjoy life. 

I am forever grateful that my mom was able to beat breast cancer and is still with me today. However, I know not everyone is as fortunate. That’s why I’m honored to run for a cause dedicated to raising money to help find a cure for a disease that has affected my family and so many others.
