My Story…
Dear Friends & Family,
I am excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race on Sunday, August 17th, for the new Cape Cod YMCA! Thanks to the incredible efforts of many and some very generous individual donations, the dream to build a YMCA in Falmouth is coming true. Over $31M (of the $35M needed) has been raised and there are tentative plans to break ground on the 485 Brick Kiln Rd 68,000 square foot facility this fall and open sometime in 2027 (https://ymcacapecod.org/our-y/uppercape/). As a swimmer, I am looking forward to being one of the first to swim in the two pools of the facility but this new Y, as all Ys do, will offer so much more and be a tremendous resource for the young and not so young of Falmouth and the surrounding towns. And how fortunate will we be to be opening a brand new Y in our town!
