My Story…
This year, I am honored to run the Falmouth Road Race representing the Last Call Foundation—a cause deeply close to my family’s heart. The foundation was established by Kathy Crosby-Bell in memory of her son, Michael Kennedy, a fallen firefighter and former U.S. Marine. Michael, along with Lieutenant Edward Walsh, bravely lost their lives battling a devastating nine-alarm fire on March 26, 2014, in Boston’s Back Bay.
This tragedy shed light on the extraordinary risks firefighters face daily. The Last Call Foundation is dedicated to identifying and addressing these challenges, working tirelessly to improve the safety and effectiveness of firefighters as they protect our communities.
I’m especially proud to run for this organization, as my mom and her brothers grew up alongside Mike and even ran the Boston Marathon for the foundation in 2016.
