I'm Jenny Ross - I'm an oyster farmer and owner of a local seafood market (Cataumet Fish.). I started farming oysters with my husband Pat in 2012, and since then, we have witnessed first-hand how important water quality is to local seafood - and how important oyster farms are to cleaner water. Oysters filter and remove nitrogen from the water column, and contribute to a healthy ecosystem.
I am also committed to supporting local fishers and wild harvesters at Cataumet Fish, and raising awareness about the impacts of climate change and what we can all do on a local level as stewards of our local watershed.
Description
On Sunday, August 17th, I'll be running the Falmouth Road Race with Team Buzzards Bay. Together, we'll cover 7 miles and raise funds to support the Buzzards Bay Coalition, demonstrating our dedication to protecting clean water in Buzzards Bay and beyond.
