About us
Each new person I meet, I have to explain my food allergies and make them aware of my situation so that they know what to do if it ever so happens, I accidentally eat a peanut while I am with them. I have never thought of my allergy as anything out of the ordinary or even as a burden, but it really is a bigger deal than what I think it is at times. Carrying around an epi-pen, telling the waiters at every restaurant, making sure the ice cream shop uses unopened containers out of the backroom with a clean and sanitized spoon, reading every nutrition label on every new food I encounter, this is my normal. Seeing a foundation that is based on the awareness surrounding anaphylaxis and educating others on what it is and how it can be deadly to those with allergy's is such an inspiring and meaningful charity, which is why I have decided to run for and represent The KeepSmilin4Abbie Foundation this year at the 2025 Falmouth Road Race!
Please consider donating to such a great foundation to help raise awareness, promote research, and advocate for policies that prioritize the prevention and management of anaphylaxis.
