My Story
Hello!!
Thank you so much for coming to our Falmouth Road Race Fundraising page. We are a mother/son duo running for Cape Wellness Collaborative (CWC). See below for a short summary about us and why we're running!
As you most likely know, Allison was diagnosed with breast cancer in February of 2025. After multiple biopsies and many difficult conversations with doctors, she made the decision to receive a double mastectomy surgery, which took place April 17, 2025. Thankfully, following the surgery, she has been making an incredible recovery and is now cancer-free!! As part of her journey coming back from cancer, she enrolled to receive wellness benefits with Cape Wellness Collaborative. The organization has been nothing short of amazing, helping Allison bounce-back better than ever with meals, massages, and other treatments free of charge. Every dollar you donate will go directly to CWC in support of their mission: to help residents of Cape Cod and the Islands who are facing cancer feel better through integrative therapies, nourishing meals, and emotional support services. We are so thankful for their services and are honored to be able to give back by running the Falmouth Road Race in support of CWC.

Description
Cape Wellness Collaborative's (CWC) mission is to help residents of Cape Cod and the Islands who are facing cancer feel better through integrative therapies, nourishing meals, and emotional support services.
Integrative therapies like massage, acupuncture, yoga, and more can significantly ease the physical and emotional side effects of cancer treatment and recovery. Yet most of these therapies are not covered by insurance, making them inaccessible to many when they’re needed most.
CWC bridges that gap. We connect individuals facing cancer with trusted, local practitioners who provide integrative care—and we cover the cost. Our model keeps care close to home, compassionate, and accessible.
Today, we serve approximately 1,100 people each year. Through our Wellness Eats program, we’ve also provided more than 18,000 handcrafted, nourishing meals to clients and caregivers across our community. We also host monthly support group meetings at our HQ in South Yarmouth.
Our goal is simple and deeply meaningful: to help people feel better—physically, emotionally, and holistically—while navigating cancer.
Thank you to all who have donated so far!
