My Story…
I’m very excited to be running my 1st ever road race on behalf of the Laurie Melchionda Foundation! This charity is extremely special to me as Laurie was my mother in law. This foundation has not only given me hope during the hard times but has brought so many incredible people together. Laurie devoted her life to promoting community, education, and health & wellness. I’m honored to be raising money for the Laurie Melchionda Endowed Scholarship Fund at her Alma mater, UMass Boston.
I am a mom to three beautiful children just like Laurie. Well I am nervous to be hitting the pavement and doing something extremely outside of my comfort zone I know her presence and my 3 kids will carry me through each mile.
My daughter said to me a few weeks ago “Mom we can do hard things” and she is right we can!
