Why this is important to me!
I am running the 2025 Falmouth Road Race to raise money for DetecTogether, which is an organization in Central MA that promotes educational programs for early cancer detection. When I was 13 years old, I faced a cancer diagnosis and with the help of early detection, surgery, and a 12-week round of chemo, I am now cancer free. I recently finished my freshman year of college at Fairfield University. Here is a link to my story and my journey through cancer from five years ago:

Personally, early detection is very important for getting treatment before the cancer can spread. Before I was diagnosed with cancer, I didn't know what cancer was and how it could affect my body. It can be scary, but it is even scarier if you catch it late and the cancer gets worse. Early detection helped me realize that I had a good chance of beating cancer and so that is why I want to fundraise for this worthy cause.
Any amount will help me reach my goal. Your donation goes to an organization that I feel does an excellent job of promoting early cancer detection, and I would appreciate if you could help me fundraise for this organization.
