I first learned about the work of Buzzards Bay Coalition last summer, when I was working at Woodwell Climate Research Center. Buzzards Bay Coalition protects and restores the health of the Buzzards Bay ecosystem through water quality monitoring, conservation, educational programs, and advocacy. Woodwell collaborates with Buzzards Bay Coalition on work like the Continuous Oxygen Monitoring in Buzzards Bay (COMBB) Project, which monitors dissolved oxygen levels in the Buzzards Bay watershed. I got to meet some of the Buzzards Bay Coalition's interns and staff last summer and hear about their work and I'm thrilled to be supporting them this year. The world needs this work now more than ever! 💙
Description
On Sunday, August 17th, I'll be running the Falmouth Road Race with Team Buzzards Bay. Together, we'll cover 7 miles and raise funds to support the Buzzards Bay Coalition, demonstrating our dedication to protecting clean water in Buzzards Bay and beyond.
