My Story…
Bridgewater has always been home. Growing up just minutes from the Bridgewater State University campus, I’ve had the privilege of watching the school grow into the amazing institution it is today. While I didn’t earn my degree at BSU, I’ve attended countless events there and have always felt a deep connection to the campus and its community. Supporting BSU’s mission to create impactful events and bring people together feels like a full-circle moment—and one I’m proud to be part of.
Over the past year, I’ve fallen back in love with running. As a former Division III student-athlete at UMass Dartmouth, it’s been refreshing to reignite that competitive spirit and set new goals—like training for the Falmouth Road Race. Running for Team BSU gives me the chance to give back to a community that means so much to me, while also connecting with others who, like me, are retired athletes still looking for new ways to compete and challenge themselves.
I don’t just run for the physical benefits — I run to feel better mentally. Running has become my outlet, a way to release stress, clear my head, and disconnect from the noise of everyday life. It’s where I set personal goals, push myself, and find clarity. The mental and emotional benefits have been unmatched, and I hope to inspire others to find that same sense of peace, purpose, and empowerment through movement.
