My Story…

I'm honored to run the Falmouth Road Race this summer for the first time—and even more honored to run in support of a cause that means the world to me: the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation (GDMF).

For those who don’t know, Glen Doherty was my cousin. He was one of four Americans killed in the terrorist attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 12, 2012. The attack began the night of September 11, and Glen fought through the night, saving many lives before he was killed in a mortar attack in the early morning hours.

Glen died serving alongside men he deeply respected, protecting the freedoms we cherish as Americans, and doing what he loved. To the world, he’s an American hero. To those who knew him, he’s a beloved best friend, a devoted son and brother, and a vibrant soul who left an irreplaceable hole in our hearts.

In his honor, the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation was created to help Special Operations veterans transition from military service to successful civilian careers. Inspired by Glen’s passion for adventure and learning, the foundation provides scholarships for education, professional certifications, and vocational training.

To date, the GDMF has awarded 135 scholarships totaling over $1 million. With your support, we can help even more Special Operators take the next step in their lives.

The GDMF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to honoring Glen’s legacy and the sacrifices made by so many who have served.

Please consider making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goal. Every dollar goes a long way toward supporting these incredible veterans.

🙏 Thank you so much for your support.
