I'm running the 53rd ASICS Falmouth Road Race for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation
Two and a half years ago my world forever changed. Hearing the world’s “ you have CANCER” took my breath away immediately. What those words also did was bring out the fight that I have always had within.
My body underwent surgery and then six rounds of chemotherapy to help kill the cancer cells. I continued to move my body throughout treatment in hopes that I would stay on track.
The Joe Andruzzi Team stepped in when we needed them most! Going through treatment can certainly cause a lot of financial burden when it comes to simple and even more complex payments for the home. They were able to help with groceries and a mortgage payment! They are true superheroes!
I run Falmouth to help give back and hopefully raise money so that other patients can receive the same special treatment that I did from this wonderful organization!

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF) is committed to providing assistance to patients of all ages, any cancer, throughout New England who are struggling financially due to a cancer diagnosis. JAF understands that everyday living expenses don’t stop because of a diagnosis, and JAF provides various programs to help patients make ends meet. Because patients and families must often devote all their energy and resources toward treatment, the Foundation helps alleviate financial and emotional stress by providing grants to assist with rent/mortgage, transportation to treatment, food, and more. Through our Assistance Programs, the grant recipients can focus on their cancer treatment and not the financial distress that comes with it.
