My Story…
Hi All. I'm back as always to run the Falmouth Road Race this year in memory of Mr. Kevin O'Keefe and in support of the National Pancreas Foundation. With each passing year since Kevin has been gone, which will be five years in September, I realize more and more how significantly he impacted my life and the lives of my wife and children. We miss him terribly. There are things I didn't say to him before he died that I deeply regret keeping to myself before it was too late. This annual effort to support the NPF by running the Falmouth Road Race is a means for me to feel connected to Kevin and to honor his memory. The importance of the run for me has evolved over time. Initially it was a personal benchmark that anchored my running routine and general fitness schedule...which was so shallow and souless. Now, the time spent running those 7 miles in Falmouth, and the time spent preparing for it, are spent reflecting on Kevin's life. I miss him deeply and think about him often.
It is with great humility that I once again ask my friends and family to support my fundraising efforts and honor Kevin with a donation that will go towards supporting the National Pancreas Foundation.
Thank you,
EvDogg

Walker transforms the lives of children and young adults who are facing complex emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges by partnering with these children, their families, and communities to nurture hope, build strengths, and develop lifelong skills.
Funds raised by our Falmouth Road Race team will benefit Walker's Annual Fund, which supports our mission and full array of educational, therapeutic, and community-based services. By supporting Team Walker, you are helping our community's most vulnerable young people achieve academic goals and emotional progress, strengthening families as they build connections, and providing resources for many who are facing complex mental health issues.
