This year, I’ve decided to run the Falmouth Road Race for the second year in a row as part of Team End ALZ.

I was hesitant at first about committing to the 2025 race. After losing my father in February, the weight of that loss felt too heavy to take on something that required both training and fundraising. If you’re familiar with grief, you know it comes in waves. Some days, it’s hard to know what you’ll be able to handle, what tasks you can complete, or what promises you can make—you just take it day by day.

But if you knew my dad, you know he would want me to live each day to the fullest, to pursue what brings me joy, and to never give up on the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

Last year, running the 2024 Falmouth Road Race was one of the highlights of my summer. It truly brought me joy. This year, I’m running again—to bring that same joy into my life, to honor my father’s memory, and to help build a future where no family has to face the devastating impact of this disease.
