I’m honored to be fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation — an organization that has had a lifelong impact on me and my family. 

When I was just 3 years old, I was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. The next two years of my life were spent undergoing intense treatments at Tufts Medical Center Children’s Floating Hospital. It was an incredibly difficult time for my entire family — full of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty.

But in 1997, when I was 5 and had just completed treatment, Make-A-Wish gave my family and me something we didn’t even realize we so desperately needed: a chance to heal, smile, and create joyful memories together.

My wish was to go to Disney World — and that trip remains one of the most cherished experiences of my childhood. It wasn’t just a vacation; it was a celebration of survival, a deep breath after years of holding it in, and a moment for my family to bond again outside the walls of a hospital.

Now, years later, as a healthy adult and a new mother myself, I can only begin to understand the fear my parents must have felt during those dark days. And I’m even more grateful for the light that Make-A-Wish brought into our lives.

That’s why I’ve set a goal to raise at least $1,500 — though I hope with your help, we can raise even more. Every dollar goes directly to helping grant wishes for medically eligible children and their families, offering them moments of joy, relief, and strength.
