My Story…
I'm so excited to be running the Falmouth Road Race and raising money for Empower, an organization that supports children, teens, and young adults who have experienced the loss of a parent. They run a mentoring program as well as host events, all aimed at helping kids feel less alone by connecting them with peers and adults who have had similar losses. I was so fortunate to have my entire childhood with both parents, but there are so many kids out there who don't get that. And those kids often feel lost, stressed, and alone. I'm running for those kiddos.
The official fundraising goal for each Empower runner is $1500. I plan on matching all donations received up to that $1500 mark, which means OUR goal is $3000! Let's do this!

Join me in supporting Empower by helping me raise money as I take on the 2025 Falmouth Road Race!
Empower is an international nonprofit with a very specific mission — to empower, support, and connect children and young adults (up through age 24) who have experienced the loss of a parent. Empower provides events that remind children they are not alone in their grief, and a unique one-on-one mentor program with positive role models from the community who help teach, “loss is survivable.”
Cara was nine years old when her mother Kit died of breast cancer and formed Empower as a grassroots movement out of the gratitude she had for all the layers of support her family received growing up. Empower operates with a lean staff and thousands of volunteers from across the globe and all programs remain at no charge to the family.
