Our team is running to help make a difference in our community.
In the spring of 2004, a few Sandwich Little Club volunteers organized a small group of physically and developmentally disabled children to play baseball for a six-week season. Deemed a huge success, parents expressed the need for a program that offered year-round recreational and social opportunities for their children. After months of planning, Kelvin Ing & Amy Lipkind incorporated the Cape Cod Challenger Club in August 2005 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. What began over 20 years ago with a handful of baseball players has now grown into a year-round athletic, recreational, and social activities program for children and adults with disabilities. With over 1500 participants and 100+ volunteers, the Cape Cod Challenger Club is thriving. Our FREE activities include baseball, soccer, basketball, yoga ball drumming, arts & crafts, cooking, a hyannis harbor cruise, roller skating, numerous cook-outs, trophy days, dances and a lot more. Our goal is to offer more opportunies for people to get involved.
Our team is running to help more people have the opportunity to be a part of the Challenger Club. LEARN MORE
