Our story…
Since 2006, Team Metro Housing has raised over $700,000 through road races (including the Boston Marathon and Run to Remember) to help prevent homelessness in Greater Boston and help residents transition to housing stability and financial security.
Founded in 1983, Metro Housing|Boston has worked with a network of property owners and service providers to help individuals and families attain safe, affordable housing. Metro Housing administers federal and state housing subsidies and transition funding to over 30,000 families annually, continuing to provide inspection and case management services long after their vouchers are claimed. Metro Housing is the largest regional provider of Housing Choice Vouchers in Massachusetts.
Metro Housing staff empowers our participants through housing and financial assistance services tailored to the needs of low-income Greater Boston residents. These privately supported initiatives serve as a critical foundation of our work by filling coverage and resource gaps for at risk residents. These programs provide enhanced service access to vulnerable populations in the communities where they live and work. These services include housing placement, intensive case management, specialized counseling, financial coaching, and emergency assistance funding.
The financial support and awareness we receive from Team Metro Housing ensures that we continue providing services to families and individuals who need our help.
Team Metro Housing is thrilled to be running the 2025 ASICS Falmouth Road Race! Thank you for supporting us!
