Run Wild trail run is hosted at River Ridge Trails, north of Langham, Saskatchewan. The course will consist of a 5 km and 10 km run distance through some breathtaking terrain along the North Saskatchewan River.
River Ridge Trails is an epic mountain biking venue made up of gorgeous single track, man-made obtacles and scenery that will take your breath away. We are confident the hills will too. This area comes alive in spring through fall with runners and bikers enjoying the incredible trail network.
The run start/finish is a VIBE and overlooks the river valley. The run course features valley climbs, technical and flowy singletrack, fun downhill portions and views for days. Sport and Enduro runners follow the same course until a junction when the longer distance veer off to burn through some more challenging terrain.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. If I register but can no longer attend the run, is my registration refundable?
No. The event costs covers expenses such as rentals, use River Ridge Trails, timing chips and race materials, etc. By participating, Run Wild Trail Run commits to donate a portion of your entry cost to local non profit organizations, therefore no refunds will be issued.
2. Can registration be transferable to another runner if I find a replacement?
Yes. This is our first time using Race Roster but if you have someone that can take your place, transfer deadline is April 25, 2025 at 10am. Transfer of funds will strictly be between you and your replacement and will not be the responsibility of the Run Wild Trail Run team. You replacement will be responsible for the transfer fees ($2.20)
3. Do I need technical trail runners for this event?
No. Runners with good quality tread will be fine. Most of the trail will be on single track dirt trails so excessive pre-race precipitation will have an effect on grip and traction. You will encounter other obstacles such as roots, rocks, man-made structures and the odd gopher hole. This is Saskatchewan after all.
4. Will there be an on-site first aid station?
Yes. There will be trained first aid members at the start/finish as well as mid course.
5. Are there bathroom facilities on-site?
Yes. There is an enclosed heated outbuilding with 2 public washrooms at the start/finish point as well as one additional portable washroom. There will be signage for the 10 km runners to veer off trail for an outhouse break if needed.
6. Is water supplied? Will pre and post run snacks be provided?
Yes, but you are welcome to bring your own hydration nutrition for the run. Yes, there will be pre and post run snacks provided for all participants.
7. Are dogs allowed on the course?
No. Although this is a fun run, no dogs are allowed on the course with participants. For liability purposes, we ask that dogs not be present during this event.
8. Are listening devices allowed while on the course?
We prefer they not be worn during the run. We are confident that between our super awesome volunteers, course marshalls, other racers cheering you on and the gorgeous scenery your race will literally fly by. Also due to the amount of single track we want you to be able to hear the person behind you if someone wishes to get by. This is a courtesy ask on behalf of the race organizers.
9. Can people under 18 participate?
Yes. We ask that participants 12 - 17 years of age have a parent or guardian help with their registration and have some experience with trail running.
10. Will it be tick season on the trails?
Yes. Therefore, we ask that you bring bug spray and wear longer socks if you feel you need to. Don't forget to tick check after the run.
