Sharks in San Diego Harbor? Not really, but you may see seals and dolphins as you enter their world. This not-to-be-missed swim is just one of many in the growing Enviro-Sports' Sharkfest™ Series. San Diego offers both comfortable water and air temperatures this time of year making it a perfect swim venue.
Due to the closure of Joe's Crabshack at the 5th Avenue Landing, and with no alternative launch site available at that location, we have changed the course. We will start at the beach next to the Il Fornaio Restaurant, 1333 First Street, in the Coronado Ferry Landing Area.
The 3/4 of a mile swim will start in the water off of the beach and proceed toward the Coronado Bridge. The course has a dogleg to the right and finish at Tidelands Park (same as always).
Registration and check in will be from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM at the Il Fornaio Restaurant parking lot. Be there by 8 AM to ensure a smooth check in. The swim has been timed according to the local tidal conditions and will take place during "slack" tide. The event is limited to 300 participants so register NOW before we sell out!
Parking: Paid parking is available in the parking lots at the Coronado Ferry Landing and at the Ilf Fornaio Restaurant. Free parking is available at the finish area at Tidelands Park and it is a 1/2 mile walk along the shoreline to the Il Fornaio restaurant.
PLEASE NOTE: This swim is not for novices. This event is for experienced open-water swimmers only. You should be able to swim one mile comfortably in a pool in under 40 minutes.

INCENTIVES: T-Shirts for all participants. Sharkfest Swim Medals for top three finishers in each age group (wetsuit and non-wetsuit combined). Personalized award plaques will also be mailed to the first place overall male and female swimmers. (wetsuit and non-wetsuit combined).

ENTRANT LETTER: An entrant letter with all the race day details will be emailed to all registered participants and posted online here 1-2 weeks prior to event day. Please check back for any updates and the full race day itinerary.

CANCELLATIONS: Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Here are the policy Terms & Conditions of the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program. You cannot purchase it AFTER you have completed your checkout. Otherwise, if you don't purchase the refund protection, and you need to cancel, you can email us by August 21, 2025 to receive a rollover credit (the amount you paid minus a $20 fee) to use toward any future Enviro-Sports race. After that date, a doctor's note is required to receive a credit.

There is no headquarters hotel, there are several choices in the area both on the San Diego side and the Coronado side.
